White Laith Primary School is situated within Whinmoor in Leeds. Children and adults work together in an atmosphere of trust, respect and belonging. Yr 5 have been learning all about Cubism. Cubism is a style of abstract art. Picasso created Cubism and we explored his life and work. The children created self portraits like those created by Picasso. To create this art the children learnt how to use the computer to select, cut, paste and manipulate sections of photographs. These creations were then put through a filter provide by the website ‘Goart’ and out popped these famously Cubism portraits.
