Read MoreDanube and Zambezi enjoyed working with Stacey from Phoenix dance today. The children worked in groups to create a sequence of movements which reflect the words of the poems. Next week they will add rhythmic movements to create a finished dance. All our classes will be working with Stacey this half term and it will be really interesting to see all the different dances we create.
Amazon have been making their own fabulous illuminated letters as part of their Anglo-Saxons topic.

On Thursday, we attended Leeds East Primary Partnership Debating Competition. We had been practising our speaking and presenting skills in class and had become excellent at arguing our point and trying to persuade our audience. Our debating team presented their argument opposing ‘Every child should stay in education up to the age of 18.’ . We showed excellent use of emphasis and body language and used convincing emotive language to win the debate! Well done to our team and also all of Amazon for their hard work in helping our team.
Yangtze class planted 140 trees in our school grounds!
